Job Details:
Key roles and responsibilities are:
- Provide overall technical leadership in the implementation ensuring the project achieves its intended objectives and is compliant with established Government of Ethiopia, World Vision, and USAID programs management standards.
- Provide technical leadership to support the Projectās health systems strengthening activities and interventions for accountability mechanisms, high-quality health and nutrition services provision, and enhanced community ownership.
- Coordinate with USAID, Government, and other stakeholders in different forums and provide technical assistance to the government line ministries, agencies, and offices at the Federal, Regional and Zonal levels in support of advocacy and capacity strengthening of relevant institutions and communities.
- In collaboration with the technical teams, establish systems and processes for the periodic review of implementation across the project implementing areas and facilitate necessary mid-course corrections.
- Support the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning team in monitoring implementation, analyzing progress, and using service statistics and other data for decision-making and improving program performance.
Required Professional Experience
- Minimum of 10 years of technical experience in health system strengthening, health or nutrition programming, community health programming, or other related fields;
- Familiarity with the evidence base, best practices, and measurement of community engagement and empowerment, capacity strengthening and empowerment strategies as well as mobilization or demand creation strategies for health services;
- Proven ability to liaise with public health stakeholders across government, private sector, non-governmental actors, and donors;
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills, collaboration experience, creativity and willingness to innovate;
- Direct experience working with, USAID-funded projects preferred;
- Established public health networks/contacts and strong relationship management skills;
- Excellent communication and writing skills in Amharic and English.
- Track record of a strong commitment to sharing knowledge, documenting experiences, supporting creative initiatives, and sharing credit.
- Experience managing required programmatic and financial reporting requirements. Experience with M&E is a plus.

- Required Education, training, license, registration, and certification
- Minimum of Masterās degree in public health, community development or management, health system strengthening, health policy, or related field;
- Excellent communication and writing skills in Amharic and English.
