Job Description
- Duration: For one year with the possibility of extension.
Ā Responsibilities:
Specific responsibilities of the Activity Manager will include, but are not limited to the following:
- Understand and keep track of the Wellness Pass project based on the work plan by working closely with the Senior Lead Technical Advisor
- Use project management tools to track the development and customization of the project and mitigate potential delaysĀ
- Closely work with the Ministry of Health to select appropriate health facilities for the implementation of the project.
- Work closely with the Ministry of Health and key stakeholders of this project and properly plan the implementation and scale-up of the project.
- Work with Regional Health Bureaus to ensure a proper scale-up of the project at the selected health facilities.
- Provide technical and programmatic leadership on the implementation of the project.
- Manage relationships with key stakeholders including the Federal Ministry of Health by presenting Wellness Pass and addressing any issues that may arise on this project.
- Represent Wellness Pass on the digital activity initiatives within the Ministry and in national Technical Working Groups
- Ensure activities performed by Wellness Pass are recorded and reported as per the reporting standard.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
- Complete operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results
- Prepare timely reports to the Senior Lead Technical Advisor, Digitization on activity status and issues
- Occasional travel to user sites to assess product and project performance
- Supervise other MIS staff supporting software development and/or implementation
- Perform other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
Applicants for this position should possess the following qualifications:
- A Masterās Degree in a relevant discipline (Program/project management, public health, computer science, and ICT with experience working in the health sector) is required.
- Minimum of five years of experience working on Health Information Systems and Digital Health
- Experience working with the Ministry of Health on Health Information System
- Must have deep knowledge of the business processes of the Federal Ministry of Health and its agencies
- Proven ability to manage the development and implementation of project activities
- Strong representational and interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and verbal English; proficiency in Amharic
- Ability to prepare and present technical information to partners
- Proficiency in common computer packages (e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Excel) relevant to the work
