- Terms of Employment - for fixed period, one year contract with a possibility of extension.
Major Responsibilities & duties Â
- Create and maintain employee records according to policy & legal documents
- Support the development and implementation of HR initiatives & systems of the organization
- Be actively involved in recruitment by preparing job description, posting and management hiring process
- Develop, organize staff training and development programs & activities
- Assist in performance management processes
- Monitoring staff performance and attendance
- Support the management of disciplinary & grievance issues
- Making sure that staff get paid correctly and on time
- Review employment & working conditions to ensure legal compliance
- Looking after pensions and benefits administration
- Looking  after the health, safety and welfare of all employees
- Advising line managers and other employees on employment law and the employer`s own employment policies and procedures
- Responsible to perform other duties assigned by the organization .
Job Requirements
Educational background
- BA Degree in HRM, Management, law, business administration, social studies or relevant field of studies
Knowledge & Skills Required
- Knowledge of HR functions
- Highly skilled at implementing HR policies and processes
- Excellent customer service skills with experience of providing coaching and mentoring to employees regarding HR policies and processes
- Excellent facilitation skills with experience of leading training and coaching events to improve the internal skills and capabilities.

- Current and detailed knowledge of HRD policies and practices within Ethiopia and worldwide with demonstrated ability of introducing practice training solutions into an organization.
- Working knowledge of the Ethiopian development context with detailed experience in either Health, Education, Secure Livelihoods or Environment
- Experience at mainstreaming gender, youth and environment in all working practices.
- Understanding of labor laws & disciplinary procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to form effective working relationships with employees  at all levels
- Problem solving and decision making aptitude
- Highly experienced at using Microsoft packages to provide quality written communications
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English, Amharic and Afan Oromo.
