POSITION SUMMARY:
The IT Coordinator will be responsible for information technology activities both at head office and projects; creating and maintains organizational database; Managing all ICT equipment; Managing electronic communication devices; Facilitating repair and maintenance of ICT Equipment; Preparing periodic ICT reports; Organizing ICT-related training;
Principal Responsibilities
Key Result #1 – Infrastructure Maintenance and Support
⮚ Arranges and perform repair and maintenance activities
⮚ Provide quick responses to users' requests for help, diagnose problems, and provide resolution to staff worldwide using email, phone, remote access software or in-person when available.
⮚ Leads and coordinates IT Officer's tasks.
⮚ Ensure compliance with all software licensing agreements, monitoring software installation, and utilization
⮚ Provide support for business applications (Intune, Microsoft Office 365, Google Apps, etc.)
⮚ Monitors proper implementation of FH/E’s ICT Policy
⮚ Regularly update organization Antivirus
Key Result #2 – Server Administration
⮚ Manage the checkpoint and Paloalto router and access points
⮚ Manage user accounts
⮚ Manage and administer WAP, NW Printers, Client computers
⮚ Create, delete, and update user accounts and access rights
Key Result #3 – Networking
⮚ Configures LAN, WLAN, and 4G connections
⮚ Configure new PCs and other hardware and software
⮚ Configure Network printers and shared devices
⮚ Troubleshoot network problems
Key Result #4 – Database
⮚ Handles organization data/information in a secured and updated form
⮚ Maintain and manage all IT types of equipment inventory
⮚ Manage files and folders both on an online and offline bases
⮚ Gives support to ORANGE HRM, Odoo, and other database programs
Key Result #5 – Training and Capacity Building
⮚ Handles advanced Training on Networking and maintenance
⮚ Handle training on Google Apps, Windows applications, Packages
⮚ Conduct technology induction trainings or orientation for new joining staff
⮚ Conduct and periodically update training on introduction to computers and the Internet and web services not limited to drive, cyber, skype, etc
Key Result #6 – Others
⮚ Regularly communicate with project staff and IT officers
⮚ Listen to understand users' ministry goals and technical needs
⮚ Suggest more effective ways for users to accomplish their ministry goals by utilizing technology

Experience
⮚ Minimum of five years of relevant experience in Networking, System Administration, Database Management, and IT Support preferably in NGO settings.
Education/Certifications
⮚ BSc Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science Management Information Systems or Electrical Engineering or related field of studies
Supervisory Responsibility
⮚ The position supervises up to three IT Officers at Bahir Dar, Lay Gayint, & Zeway.
Language
⮚ Proficiency in spoken and written English language.

⮚ Encourages compliance of Safety and Security principles and policies of the organization by all staff;
⮚ Visiting project Offices and operational areas periodically to meet staff and making sure that all staff members are aware of the safety and security procedures;
⮚ Explains to staffs the reasoning behind the organization’s safety and security policies and procedures;
⮚ Organizing local training sessions, such as First Aid, Fire Safety, and Defensive Driving for staff members. If possible, he/she should conduct briefing and training sessions himself/herself;
⮚ Ensures that safety and security objectives are added to performance reviews and evaluations of all staff members;
⮚ Encourages staff to adopt safe and secure practices. Ensuring that updated personnel information related to safety (Record of Emergency Data) and security management are
Gender Responsibilities
⮚ Provide adequate time to staff to participate in gender sensitivity workshops and related events.
⮚ Through observation, interviews, and spot-checks, ensure that the staff planning process is gender sensitive.
⮚ Build a better gender balance in staffing through affirmative action.
⮚ Observe if women staff are as involved as men in high-profile activities such as interaction with visitors and chairing meetings, and take corrective action if warranted.
⮚ Encourage female staff to participate in external networks (local and regional), as well as seminars and cross-visits.
⮚ Facilitate open and regular discussions with staff about the work environment, policies, and values convenient to gender issues.
