CCTV Officer

Duties and Responsibilities 

• Operating and maintaining surveillance equipment, watching both live and recorded video surveillance footage, reporting incidents or suspicious behavior, and contacting the authorities when necessary.
• Operating and monitoring all surveillance security systems/cameras within the Control Centre in an efficient manner and in compliance with the operating procedures, legislation, and best practice.
• Recording all events, incidents, and actions taken in a clear, legible, and accurate written format.
• Prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities, informing violators of policy and procedures, and restraining trespassers.
• Complete reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interview witnesses.
• Ensure the operation of security equipment and surveillance cameras by reporting any malfunctioning equipment in a timely manner to the IT Administrator.
• Contribute to security team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
• Ensure the security, safety, and well-being of all personnel, visitors, and the premises
• Respond to emergency situations to provide necessary assistance to employees and customers
• Protect the company's assets relative to theft, assault, fire, and other safety issues
• Follow procedures for various initiatives, including fire prevention, patrolling premises regularly, traffic control, and accident investigations
• Report suspicious activity, criminal behavior, and security breaches

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

• BSc degree in Computer science/ICT/Electrical and Computer Engineering/Police Science or related fields with two years of experience in CCTV operation. OR
• Diploma/ Level IV Certificate in IT/Law/Police Science or related fields with three years experience in CCTV operation. OR
• Four years of CCTV Operation experience as a CCTV Officer or equivalent capacity.

 Competencies:

• Excellent skill to use MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and the like).
• Ability to operate CCTV or Security cameras
• Surveillance system knowledge
• Intelligence and investigation expertise
