Job Summary
Under the general directives of the Co. HR GS Manager, It is responsible for the planning, organizing, coordinating, monitoring, directing and controlling activities of the department; administering the personnel functions of recruitment, placement, orientation, compensation, appraisal, training and management development, transfer, promotion, discipline, termination and social security; assist to formulating policies, regulations, safety and disciplinary rules, appropriate employee appraisal systems and submitting the same for management decision and ensuring enforcement upon approval; bargaining collective agreement and putting it to effect; developing and administering companywide work safety, healthcare, insurance and other employee’s welfare as well as incentive schemes; administering staff and property security, transport service, office services, utility services, environmental care, recreational facilities and plant asset administration as well as other general service activities.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Implement the human resources strategy within assigned departments taking into consideration strategic goals and objectives.
- Deliver all aspects of HR services within agreed HR management policy and procedures and also provide reports and matrices on assigned department’s performance.
- Provide input to HR policy formulation, implement and interpret HR policy and procedures and ensure effective and proactive communication across assigned departments on policies, procedures and services
- Provide overall expertise in HRM, Payroll Processing, Records Management and Separation and be the reference point to the factory management and HR team.
- Own and drive recruitment, on boarding, talent management and motivation needs of assigned departments ensuring each process meets organization goals.
- Manage succession, staff development and workforce planning as essential activities within the assigned departments.
- Ensure departmental data in the HRMIS relating to records management, leave, payroll and other HR duties are coordinated and executed within expected standards
- Ensure effective implementation of performance management processes and systems for the Program and link these to the Program’s Learning and Development strategy.
- Manage all staff welfare and employee relations matters within assigned departments and ensure timely and adequate resolution of any issues so as to promote a harmonious working environment.
- Lead and supervise HR staff supporting assigned departments, ensuring they have clear objectives and resources need to perform their tasks.
- Performs other job-related duties as required by the immediate supervisor.
Job Requirements
Qualification
- BA degree in Human Resource Management or any other relative filed from recognized university.
Work Experience
- At least 4 years and above hands on human resources management experience.
Skills and behaviors
- Experience working with multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams across various sites.
- Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft applications.
- Ability to analyze problems and devise pragmatic and sustainable solutions.
- Ability to maintain a strategic view and Good skill in attention to details
- Strong leadership and time management skills.
- Excellent planning and follow through ability.
- Good communication skill in Amharic and Affanne Oromo is advantageous.
