IT Assistant

Purpose of Job:

The position holder is responsible in working closely with the IT Officer and perform the tasks required in support of ABH ICT Technologies, providing help to install, configure and maintain the company’s IT framework, setting up hardware and software applications as and when required, providing general support for the IT department and for the company’s computer users and ...etc

Scope of Work: 

The Position is primarily  focus on working on the areas of computer operations, computer networks, giving support (hardware and software) to the users, and performing a variety of information technology supporting tasks to ensure the smooth delivery of technology services to ABH company.

• Duration: Full Time
• Starting Date: Immediately

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide assistance in the use of computer hardware, software, and ICT equipment and applications to the users.
• Sets up and configures computer systems and peripherals.
• Installs software and installs and repairs hardware and peripherals.
• Test, Troubleshoot, diagnose problems, and implement appropriate corrective actions.
• Provides basic troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance for computer equipment (e.g., printers, Copiers, Scanners…etc.)
• Perform installation and maintenance of the communications equipment in the networks.
• Installs operating systems of computers, configure and setup emails, and other technologies, used in the company
• Perform IT support on a daily and routine basis.
• Perform routine tasks, such as backing up data, monitoring network and systems, servers, peripherals, etc.
• Back up the IT officer when needed.
• Work closely and report to the IT officer.
• Contributes to unit goals by accomplishing related duties.
• Perform any other duty or task as requested by the IT Officer.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, information technology, or related field
• At least 1 year of  progressively technical experience in Information Technology or computer science.
• Hands-on experience in Microsoft Operating Systems, Installation, and Configuration of Computer Networks.
• Strong understanding of PC hardware set-up and configuration
• Able to read and understand technical manuals, procedural documentation, and OEM guides.
• Ability to conduct research into PC issues and products as required.
• Working knowledge of social media, design and web based marketing.
