Currently, our Company is looking for Junior Accountant to support our Finance Department

Job Summary

The Junior Accountant will be responsible for supporting the Finance department in handling documents, proper documentation, preparing invoice and registration machines, support in writing cheques and financial records. In addition, the Jr. Accountant will be supporting the team in their task.

Duties and Responsibilities

Coding and Documentation

• Check figures, postings, and documents for correct entry to Quick book
• Receive, record, and bank cash, checks, and vouchers from clients and ensure proper documentation.
• Code documents according to company procedures.
• Access computerized financial information to answer general questions as well as those related to specific accounts.
• Perform general office duties, such as filing, answering telephones, and handling routine correspondence.
• Classify, record, and summarize numerical and financial data to compile and keep financial records, using journals and ledgers on quick book
• Prepare bank deposits by compiling data from cashiers, verifying and balancing receipts, and sending cash, checks, or other forms of payment to banks
• Support in preparing checks for utilities, taxes, and other payments.
• Perform financial calculations, such as amounts due, interest charges, balances, discounts, equity, and principal.

Invoicing and Follow up payment

• Follow up with invoice and sales order out for each department.
• Communicate with Department representative regarding sales order and information on the collection of payment.
• Support the Accountant and Chief Account on preparing invoices for the payroll and personnel client.

Reconcile

• Reconcile notes and report discrepancies found in records.
• Ensure that Ethiojobs and HR Business Service Delivery sales orders have been reconciled.
• Support the Accountant and Sr. Accounts with payroll and personnel.

Reporting

• Providing weekly, monthly, and yearly reports on Sales orders and collection.
• Based on the request of the Finance Director and Finance Manager provide reports.

Job Requirements

Qualification

• Bachelor Degree business-related field
• 1-2 years experience working as Junior Accountant. Working in the service sector is a plus.
• Good English communication skills.
• Experience working with the clients
• Fast thinker, delivering on time and thinks ahead to support teammate
• Strong Microsoft application skills and great report writing skills and experience working with Quickbook
