Under general supervision of Finance Manager plans and administers accounting systems to provide Accurate Data, Code and record of all day-to-day transactions, advises supervisor on accounting problems; prepares and submits periodic financial statements; brings up discrepancies to the attention of a supervisor in accordance with the organization financial policies and procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintains accounts or supervises subordinates in such accounting activities as cash sales, credit sales, Receipts, Receivables, and Collections
- Ensure the timely recording of the accounting transactions and their quality in terms of accuracy, reliability, completeness, and other parameters.
- Ensure proper coding of all transactions.
- Reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining the general ledger, and preparing month-end close procedures. The Prepares financial statement, payroll, reconciliation bank statement, Customer ledger with accounts and stock balance with subsidiary ledger and Advice supervisor on aged Receivable and Payables.
- Analyze the financial transactions for any discrepancies and issues, rectify the discrepancies on time in line with the finance procedure and guidelines of the Company and submit a report to the respective head. the Good Knowledge of financial governance such as Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and other regulations as per the governing rules (for both management and legal requirement purposes)
- Ensure compliance with all legal requirements of the Company with respect to the financial activities.
- Conduct periodic inventories to keep records current and to analyze the differences
- Basic computer knowledge particularly accounting software and another related accounting system, like MS Office, Peachtree accounting.
- Knowledge and experience in the implementation and running of Enterprise resource planning (ERP)/Material resource (MRP) is a plus.
- Experience in Import and Export lines of business is advantageous.
- Excellent analytical skills with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and high confidence in stating professional opinions
- Strong interpersonal skills to resolve issues with external and internal customers.
- Committed and result-oriented work ethics.
- Undertake other duties which are appropriate to the level of the position, as directed by the Head-Finance/Manager-Finance.
- Familiar with Standard operating procedures development and utilization.
- Training on quality management systems is advantageous

Job Requirements
Education and Experience:
- BA in Accounting from a recognized university.
- Minimum of 4 years of professional experience and Import/Export business company experience is advantageous
Language Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English
