Deputy Finance Head

The deputy finance head shall be responsible to Finance Head. He/she shall have the following function and responsibilities to:

• Serve as superintendent of the business activities of the institution in counsel with the Finance Head.
• Execute financial policies and regulations of the institution.
• Assist the Head in locating qualified candidates for positions in industrial and service departments.
• Maintain and inspect the plant, grounds, equipment, supplies, and all institutional property for maximum efficiency.
• Have or direct proper keeping of all accounts, and provide collection of all accounts receivable and make prompt payment of all accounts payable.
• assist the preparation of the annual budget and all business reports.
• Facilitate the operation of the institution on a financially sound basis within the approved budget.
• Provide all purchases for authorization, and render financial statements to the Head, Administration Council, and the Board.
• Implement the making of cost studies on all enterprises.
• Keep all departments informed as to their financial standing and advise them on matters of internal control.
• Act as custodian of all property and funds belonging to the institution.
• Keep the correct inventory of all property and equipment.
• Serve the head on advisory capacity concerning matters of business and finance.
• Perform other activities as may be assigned by the head or president.

Location: PVC Head Office, Shashemene, Ethiopia.
