Job Description
Key areas of accountability:
- Develop and improve work coordination with local key partners (community, Zonal and District health and education offices).
- Working closely with the Health and Nutrition Project Manager and other sponsorship program team to ensure successful implementation of the project activities.
- Support Community mobilization activities and work in close collaboration with the community/social development coordinators, health workers, Hews and teachers for the rollout of agreed project activities.
- Develop work plan, budget plan and effective monitoring of all activities.
- Ensures that the H&N program implemented effectively in a good quality standards and ensuring consistency of the work is in accordance with the programme goal and objectives.
- Participates in annual program operational plan, work plan, budget planning and revision for H&N program
- Effectively support H&N program activity implementation, monitoring and evaluation
- Closely works with construction team and follows up construction activities managed under H&N program.
- Plans, organizes and delivers trainings and facilitates workshops on regular basis as defined in the operational manual or toolkit
- Develops activity work plan, training schedules and term of references for training deliverance
- Develops and/ or adapts training modules/materials and assessment tools into local language and context
- Maintains collaboration and cooperation with team, partners and stakeholders
- Supports and participates in monitoring and evaluation activities including baseline, end line assessments and situational analysis surveys and community mobilization
- Prepares and submits periodic achievement, accomplishment and progress reports of his/her respective program implementation
- Compiles and documents success stories, best practices, lesson learned and reports
- Participates in monthly sectorial meeting
- Undertakes additional assignments given by his/her immediate supervisors
Job Requirements
Experience and Skills:
- Minimum of bachelorâs degrees in health, nutrition and any related field or equivalent accrued working experience in a related position
- Minimum of four yearsâ service.
- Good knowledge of Ethiopian health and nutrition policies
- Good knowledge and skill in planning, organizing and delivering training. Ability to change business as usual work practices, flexible in working long hours and ability to work with incoming challenges
- Demonstrated ability to set and achieve objectives.
- Strong community mobilization and customer relations skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and writing skills).
- Flexible, adaptable to dynamic changes, and fast-paced work environment.
- Thorough understanding of Save the Children working principles and approaches Child Participation, Child Rights Programming, Partnership, Child Safeguarding, Zero Tolerance, Monitoring and Evaluation, Programme Integration etc
- Knowledge of local language required.
- NGO/ working experience in the area preferred.
