Ethiopian Human Rights Commission (EHRC) is looking for qualified candidates to fill the Driver position.

REPORT TO: Coordinator, Facility, and Transport

DURATION: Contract 

SALARY RANGE: Gross monthly salary of ETB 6,596.00 -ETB 7,635.00 plus ETB 3,000.00 Housing allowance and ETB 1,200.00 Transport allowance, depending on candidate’s qualification, experience, and earning history

Purpose of the Job:

To ensure efficient, safe, and proper movement of people and goods using the assigned vehicle.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Transport goods and/or people to the desired destination using an assigned vehicle;
• Handle vehicle in a safe and secure manner;
• Responsible for washing vehicles and changing of tires of the assigned vehicle;
• Get proper preventive maintenance service for the assigned vehicle according to schedule;
• Adjust, lubricate and service vehicle on time;
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and minor repair of the assigned vehicle;
• Notify Coordinator General Services when major vehicle malfunctions occur;
• Report the use of vehicles and fuel to the immediate supervisor;
• Report any accidents to the appropriate organs;
• Dispatch letters and documents;
• Ensure all areas and equipment is clean;

Job Requirements

Qualifications and Experience:

• Relevant Driving license
• High School graduate (10th grade complete)
• A diploma or Certificate in an Auto mechanic is a plus
• 2 years of experience working as a Driver.
• Field experience is a plus
• Knowledge of Amharic is required. Knowledge of other local languages is advantageous.
