General Job Description

Kerchanshe Trading Company seeks a Senior Human Resources manager who will serve as the Head of the Human Resources Department and as a key partner to the management team in leading and creating systems, and best practices to recruit, develop, and train a diverse and high-performing workforce. The senior HR manager will review and refresh the core human resource functions including hiring processes, onboarding, performance management, and overall satisfaction of the workforce.

Specific Job Description

• Manage the staffing process, including recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding
• Ensure job descriptions are up to date and compliant with all local, state, and federal regulations
• Develop training materials and performance management programs to help ensure employees understand their job responsibilities
• Create a compensation strategy for all employees based on market research and pay surveys; keeps the strategy up to date
• Ensure all company HR policies are applied consistently
• Maintain company organization charts and employee directory
• Partner with management to ensure strategic HR goals are aligned with business initiatives
• Maintain HR systems and processes
• Conduct performance and salary reviews
• Provide support and guidance to HR staff
• Analyze trends in compensation and benefits
• Design and implement employee retention strategies

Job Requirements

Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree preferred, in a related field such as Human Resources or Organizational management, Business management, Business Administration, or any other related fields.
• Minimum 10 years of HR-related experience and should have served as HR division head, Senior HR manager, or HR Director for a minimum of 2 years

Skills Required

• Exceptional communication skills, judgment and decision-making ability.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
• Must be able to work proactively and anticipate future needs or obstacles before they arise
• Demonstrate initiative in the work environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, in English, Amharic and Afaan Oromo are mandatory.
• Flexible and team player.
