Job Description
Responsibilities:
Specific responsibilities of the implementation officer will include, but are not limited to the following:
- Lead the deployment, implementation, and updating of software solutions and ensure their functionality at all times
- Responsible to launch/start-up systems at sites by configuring applications
- Coach and train end users on the software solution and create a remote assistance modelÂ
- Plan a regular visit to supported sites and close follow-up with them to ensure they are using the applications, monitor their functionality, and address/report any issues in a timely manner
- Check the internal monitoring page every morning and inform the responsible Supervisor on sites that need support
- Follow up on data quality while visiting sites, and make sure all transactions are properly recordedÂ
- Communicate relevant stakeholders in the pre-deployment process of the applications and get sufficient information needed for the deployment
- Collect and document user feedback and ensure theyâre communicated to the right person at the central level
- Establish and maintain a good working relationship with the site users and regularly meetÂ
- Ensure the proper usage of vehicles assigned
- Carryout administrative requirements such as settling travel advances, and submitting required status reports, and timesheets in a timely manner
- Participate in meetings/workshops as requested
- Prepare timely reports for the program manager on activity status and issues
- Responsible for implementing JSI's Accountability Framework and Code of Conduct, and adhering to JSI's policies on fraud management
- Perform other duties as assignedÂ
Job Requirements
Applicants for this position should possess the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (IT, Networking, Information Systems, Business, etc) is required
- Minimum of three years of demonstrated experience in the implementation of digital health solutions
- Experience working in Health information systems is a bonus
- Experience working on the implementation of health data-capturing tools is a plus
- Deep knowledge of the business processes of the Federal Ministry of Health and its agencies, at all levels, is desired
- Strong project management and time management skills; highly organized and detail-oriented
- Strong representational and interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and verbal English; proficiency in Amharic
- Proficiency in common computer packages (e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Excel) relevant to the work
