Training Controller

Purpose of the job

• Maintenance & Improvement of Quality Management Systems for Site
• Training and coaching of shop floor staff to ensure compliance to QMS

Main duties & responsibilities

• Ensure that Controlled Documents are relevant and current
• Co-ordinate regular technical review of required documentation (Operating Formats and Work Instructions, etc.) as per required schedule
• Facilitate  revision of Operational documentation with changes in processes/ technology
• Assess adequacy of documentation and formats that are in use and propose improvements where necessary
• Basic Technical training/coaching of operators / Team Leaders (Shop Floor)
• Provides coaching / training  solutions to the shopfloor to ensure compliance & understanding  of operating documents
• Implement assessments to understand shopfloor technical competence & develop plan to improve (with Department heads)
• Serve as a coaching resource for the Maintenance of QMS for site
• Identify further training and development needs and work with Departments to address those.
• Internal audit of Quality Systems & Technical Compliance
• Conduct internal audits to measure compliance to Operating Procedures & HACCP Plan & Quality Systems and assess status of prerequisite programs.
• Compile  relevant gap list and work with Site to close findings
• Compile  monthly status report for above
• Co-ordinate Food Safety Reviews
• When process/ material changes are made, initiate food Safety review  with Food Safety Team Members
• Update relevant documentation and HACCP plan if required following Review
• Standardization of Operating Formats and Technique Processes
• Work with other Sites to do a Systemic Review of all Operating Documentation to standardize all common BGI operating formats
• Coaching and training  of relevant staff on new changes introduced

Expected Education and Experience

• Degree in Process(Chemical), Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, OR Science
• Advanced administrative skills
