Job Description

Job Summary 

Under the general supervision and guidance of the Human Resources Department, the Senior General Service & Property Administration Officer, is responsible for the planning, organizing, staffing, coordinating and monitoring, leading & controlling general service activities; administering utility services of the company; running communication, reproduction, messenger, furnishing, janitorial and other support office services; supervising security, gardening, environmental care as well as the maintenance and keeping inventory of plant assets; providing and running transportation, fuel accommodation and controlling and  providing working clothes and protective.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepares periodic & action plan of the section.
  • Administers essential utility services of the company.
  • Plans and monitors fuel and lubricant consumption of service vehicles.
  • Runs communication, furnishing, janitorial and other supporting office services.
  • Monitors and evaluates periodic performances of the section.
  • Arranges for the installation, repair and maintenance of telephone lines, fax and other communication appliances.
  • Programs and follows up the timely maintenance of office equipment such as photocopiers, furniture and other facilities.
  • Follows up the timely procurement of janitorial supplies, office supplies, uniforms and overalls for entitled employees and general service tools and accessories.
  • Makes sure that the company trade license is renewed in time.
  • Receives necessary and reliable information from each work units, and implements provided that they can satisfy the performance of the project.
  • Provides monthly reports to the department manager and immediate report if the condition requires.
  • Direct and control security, messengers and janitors’ day to day activities.
  • Request payment for utility service.
  • Performs other job-related duties as required by the immediate supervisor.

Job Requirements

Qualification 

  • BA Graduate in HR, management, Public Administration, Business Administration and related filed from Recognized University.

Work Experience

  • At least Six (6) years in related experience.

Skills and behaviors

  • Good Communication, Leadership, Decision making skill.
  • Good Problem- solving and Time management skill.
  • Good skill in attention to details.
  • Good communication in Amharic and Affanne Oromo is advantageous.
