We are pleased to announce the following vacancy for International Mobility Champion within the Resources Division Function in Ethiopia. In keeping with our current business needs, we are looking for a person who meets the criteria indicated below.

Detailed Description

Reporting to the HR Shared Services  Lead, the role holder is responsible for managing on-ground immigration and mobility support for staff that will be on both Short-term assignments and Long-term assignments requiring relocations support from one country to another. The role will work collaboratively with the International Mobility team and Relocation Management Company to ensure the set-up, oversee transfers and the transition from one country to another runs as smoothly as possible

Job Responsibilities

Immigration

  • Managing service requests from Global service provider for Immigration process at beginning and end of work assignments.
  • Tracking and reporting service requests progress to ensure no gaps for various required permits (Business Visa’s, work permits, dependent passes etc)
  • Handle complex immigration cases where required
  • Ensure internal and external immigration related systems are up to date
  • Manage immigration audits of all legal requirements and local practices, including implementation of process improvements to meet necessary standards.

Relocations

  • Coordinating with the service provider on expatriate Housing, Schooling, and house-hold goods movement etc.
  • Working with International Mobility team and local partners to address feedback on how to enhance and improve the facilitation of mobility arrangements
  • Acting as a single of point of contact during the assignment until repatriation.
  • Ensuring high quality of service is always delivered.

Administration

  • Coordination and administration of Global Mobility life-cycle activities: orientation, staffing employees on various projects, tender cost projection, relocation, immigration/visa, policies and program administration from pre-assignment to post-assignment.
  • Preparation and reviewing assignment agreements, extension and termination letters, and performing other relocation tasks.
  • Prepare Invitation letters/ Employment contracts /International Assignment for expats going on secondment.

Cost Projection

  • Responsible to prepare balance sheet and cost projection to analyse cost involved on an assignment, prepare instant cost projection for tender participation.

Job Requirements

  • Degree in Business Management or related field
  • Breadth of knowledge and business acumen typically obtained from a total of  5-8 years’ work experience in a large commercial organization of which 4-5 years should be within the HR function directly in, or closely supporting, executive and/or line operations
  • Minimum of 4 years in resolution of complex employee relation issues.
  • Demonstrate competence in more than 2 HR technical functions
  • Proven track record of managing programme / project management (including the coordination of multiple internal and external resources)
  • Experience of working with corporate client groups
