Job Description
Summary of Position
- We are looking for a Wood Workshop Manager who will be in charge of overseeing the staff, preparation of quotation, and production of the workshop and will work as a referent for the company in his field of expertise.
- A minimum of professional experience in wood working and use of wood working tools.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise workshop operations including designing models, use of materials and production of goods
- Select, recruit and train qualified staff by teaching woodworking techniques and providing guidance and expertise
- Manage the inventory of supplies used in the workshop and purchase equipment and material of the best quality for the workshop by liaising with suppliers
- Prepare quotation and costing
- Ensure that equipment is maintained in good working condition and perform repairs when necessary
- Oversee safety within the workshop, including setting safety standards and standard operating procedures, and supervise the use of equipment in a proper way
Job Requirements
Experience Required
- A minimum of 10 years professional experience in wood working and use of wood working tools
Minimum Career Level Required
- Diploma in woodworking with 10 yearsâ experience or BSc in related fields.
Other Requirements
- Strong leadership, management and communication skills
- Result oriented and self-motivated
- Willing to travel, when needed.
