Deputy CEO - Healthcare Facility

Heal Africa Health City S.C is an emerging conglomerate business firm established by highly honored professionals from various fields, mainly medical and health specialists and sub-specialists who have excessive experience in the field of medical services.  Heal Africa Health City is looking for a dedicated bunch of experts to ensure the efficient transition of our newly acquired healthcare facility.

Duties

As a Deputy CEO, under the direct supervision of the Heal Africa health City SC Board CEO, the incumbent will be responsible to manage the day-to-day operations of the company. The candidate must be able to build and model a great company culture, provide inspired leadership to our executive team, establish a great working relationship with the board of directors, and set an effective course for the company’s continuous growth.

The Deputy CEO will co-chair the transition department and is expected to be the main strategist and leader who is able to steer the company in the most successful direction while also implementing its transition period deliverables, vision, mission, and long-term goals.

Responsibilities

• Promote a service improvement culture in both front line and support services, continually identifying and encouraging others to identify improvements to safety, quality, and efficiency of the provision of patient care
• Ensure staff are led, developed, and supported to deliver functions that underpin the clinical effectiveness of the hospital in a coordinated manner
• Work as an integral member of the Executive Team and Trust Board, providing advice, support, and leadership to deliver the Trust’s strategic and operational objectives.
• Provide high-quality and visible leadership, promoting and acting as a role model for Our Always Values.
• Participate as required in high-level complaint resolution
• Provide visible leadership for complex and cross-cutting change programs.
• Communicate effectively and continually with clinical and non-clinical leaders and staff to ensure they understand and are engaged in the strategic and operational performance of the hospital.
• Promote the highest professional standards across the hospital.
• Actively promote and participate in team improvement, collegiate working, and the resolution of disputes
• Deputize for the Chief Executive as required, both internally and externally to the hospital

Qualifications

• MSc/MA/Ph.D. in Health Science, business administration, or relevant field
• Ability to build close relationships with executives, partners, and the health facility workforce.
• Proven negotiation skills.
• Proven organizational skills in building companies and teams.
• Ability to understand new situations quickly and make wise decisions to adapt to the situation.
• Ability to inspire confidence and create trust.
• Ability to work under pressure, plan personal workload effectively, and delegate.
• 10 plus years of relevant  experience with at least 5 years in a leadership position
• Familiarity with diverse business functions such as marketing, PR, finance, etc.
• In-depth knowledge of corporate governance and general management best practices
• An entrepreneurial mind-set with outstanding leadership skills
• Analytical abilities and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and public speaking skills
